This lesson looks at Classroom Mode. Classroom Mode allows you to easily interact with your students and manage settings in a shared world from your device.
The video takes you through step by step but you may find it easier to follow text steps after viewing the video.
1. Open Minecraft Education Edition and sign in2. Open the world you want your students to join (I suggest blocks of grass for the first time so they can just have a play!)
3. Once the world is open and loaded – type ‘t‘ to open the chat bar – then type /classroommode
4. This should launch the Classroom Mode app that you need to have downloaded onto your computer
5. Sign in with the same account you used to sign into MEE
6. This should load and open the map and player roster
7. Your students should be able to find you in the friends tab after they click play
8. Once they select you from there they should show on your map and player roster
